EVENT DETAILS
The mission will depart from Miami International Airport early morning on the date of departure. Your program fee includes one overnight in Miami the night prior to departure, December 12.

To join us in Cuba, please complete this registration with a $500 non-refundable deposit per person. The final balance is due 60 days prior to departure. The final balance is not refundable for any reason after that date.

To complete your registration, you must submit a copy of your passport to 
cuba@bnaibrith.org within 24 hours.
 
IMPORTANT PASSPORT INFORMATION
To participate in a mission your passport must be valid for at least SIX MONTHS to the day after your ARRIVAL in Cuba. Please do not register until your passport meets this requirement. Please note: Once you have submitted a valid passport as part of registration it may not be renewed as this will void your Cuban visa.
 
MISSION FEES

Payment by Check: Double Occupancy - $3,095.00 per person
If payment of both the deposit and balance are received via check
 
*Single Supplement - $500 per person
 
The prices listed are in U.S. dollars per person and based on double occupancy. A 3.5% transaction fee will be assessed for payment by credit card. A $500 deposit today will reserve your spot and lock in your price for this unique trip. 
 

NOT INCLUDED IN MISSION PACKAGE
  • Transportation to and from Miami
    • B’nai B’rith receives authorized flight times 15-45 days before departure. B’nai B’rith strongly encourages participants to wait until flight times are communicated to make domestic travel arrangements.
  • Excess baggage fees
    • On charter flights: The air carrier allows each passenger to bring 44 pounds of checked luggage, plus an additional 20 pounds for carry-on goods for the community in addition to one small personal item. Excess weight may be charged at the rate of $2.00/lb. An additional $20 will be charged per piece of checked luggage above the one included in your program fee.
      On commercial flights: Standard carriers allow each passenger to bring 50 pounds of checked luggage plus one carry on and one personal item. An additional $25 will be charged for checked luggage that is overweight, plus an additional $40 per piece of checked luggage above the one included in your program fee.

      Please note that mission gifts will be weighed and charged collectively.
  • Gifts to Assist the Jewish Community of Cuba 
    • As part of participation in the mission, each participant must bring at least 15 lbs. of goods and voluntary monetary tzedakah for the community. B’nai B’rith will provide a list of community needs following registration.

TRIP CANCELLATION & MEDICAL TRAVEL INSURANCE
B’nai B’rith strongly urges participants to upgrade and/or purchase additional trip cancellation insurance. Most travel insurance policies include both cancellation and medical coverage. To have a preexisting condition covered you will need to purchase your insurance within 14 days from the date of your deposit payment (check or credit card) for the mission.
PURCHASING INSURANCE:
  • You may purchase from the insurance company of your choice.

Please note: Proof of additional trip cancellation insurance is required as a condition of travel on our mission. Should a participant elect not to purchase additional trip cancellation insurance, a signed waiver is required.
 
MEDICAL INSURANCE IN CUBA
Cuban medical insurance is included in the price of the mission and covers 100% of medical expenses up to $25,000 and repatriation or transportation due to illness, accident, or death (up to $7,000) - except as noted below. Your hotel will have a first aid station and nurse for attention to minor illnesses or injuries. Your insurance will cover treatment in the hotel and at a clinic, if such treatment is necessary.
 
Please note: Cuban health insurance does not cover treatment for a pre-existing condition – you will be liable for all costs incurred from the treatment of a preexisting condition. You may seek reimbursement from your USA insurance company; if your USA policy so provides.
 
HEALTH AND MOBILITY CONCERNS
This is not a very strenuous trip. However, because you will be walking over cobbled stone streets and climbing stairs, a certain level of mobility is required. In addition, please be mindful that Cuba is an extremely hot and humid island. If you have a pre-existing condition, chronic medical condition or question your ability to keep up with the group, you must contact B’nai B’rith International before registering for the mission.
